Confluence refers to multiple independent signals — a support level, a moving average, a Fibonacci retracement, an RSI reading — lining up at roughly the same price. The idea is that a setup backed by several independent reasons is more robust than one backed by a single indicator, though 'more reasons' is not the same as 'more reliable' if those reasons are highly correlated.
An asymmetric setup is one where the potential reward meaningfully exceeds the risk taken to find out if the idea is right — for example, a tight, well-placed stop near a clear structural level with a target several times that distance away. Asymmetry means a strategy can be wrong more often than it's right and still be net profitable over time, which is why risk/reward ratio, not just win rate, matters.
